My wife loves her puzzles but, ever since we adopted a very mischievous beagle, puzzles have been a game of hide & go seek (more like “steal and chew”) with any pieces left visible when the beagle gets bored. Without having a way to safely store a partially assembled puzzle, our clothes dryer lid has become the home of a partially assembled puzzle for nearly a year, until now! This is surprisingly sturdy and nicely sized. It’s light enough for her to lift easily, yet strong enough that it doesn’t flex and drop the pieces when lifting. The 4 drawers are a nice way to store unused pieces and, as an old Dungeon & Dragons player, these have me imagining how a set up like this could have made marathon multi-player games like that more enjoyable too. At first I was uncertain how effective the felt top would be against our furry kids (Dog & Cat), but it’s so thick that it covers the pieces perfectly and the critters don’t even know what’s under there. I was thinking we might need to save the really nice and strong inner box that it shipped in, however that’s proved unnecessary as even though the puzzle is under our living room coffee table, the felt cover ensures that all pieces are “out of sight so out of mind” of the pets. The board remains hidden under our table and is so strong and sturdy that even the Roomba bouncing off it while cleaning doesn’t disturb it. A great gift for anyone who enjoys puzzles, with or without pets!
I love to do puzzles but live in a small house so space is limited. I ordered this puzzle board and then found a great set of multiple puzzles to enjoy in the evenings. The puzzle on the board is 300 pieces and all the pieces fit on the board without the need for the drawers. The drawers are removable and I did use them to originally sort all the pieces by color. I usually work on 1,000 piece puzzles and have a different board that I tried using but it was the same size as the puzzle so I ended up with the puzzle pieces all over the dining room table anyways. This board holds 1,500 pieces which is more than enough to be able to work on the puzzle, have some extra space outside of the puzzle, and still have the drawers to hold other groups of pieces. I can officially keep all the pieces together with the board and move it from place to place as I have available time. The board was packaged really well and arrived safe and sound. The actual puzzle space is 26” x 35”. There is a border around the white board that prevents the pieces from falling off the board. There is also a thick piece of felt that covers the entire board nicely and keeps all the pieces in place when not in use. Really happy my choice and enjoying doing puzzles again.
